In my article in the "Los Bexareños Genealogical Register" December
31, 2008 I tried to clarify the GUERRA CAÑAMAR family especially the
Juan GUERRA CAÑAMAR line. One of the two GUERRA CAÑAMAR lines that
came to the new world was Vicente GUERRA CAÑAMAR and he was born in
Llanes, Asturias, Spain and the son of Antonio GUERRA and Catalina
VELA per his will. This Vicente GUERRA was married to Leonor de
MORALES from Saltillo. They had five children as mentioned
previously. They had only one son and he was named Antonio GUERRA.
This Antonio GUERRA married María GONZÁLEZ from Mexico City. Antonio
GUERRA made a will in 1715 that states that he and his wife had one
son Juan GUERRA, but that his son Juan GUERRA and his wife María
GONZÁLEZ died about 1709. This means that the GUERRA name from this
family ended about 1715 when the above Antonio GUERRA died. There
were no additional Vicente GUERRAs that descend from this line.
