This Harry may have been a Texas Ranger in 1920, but how the couple happened to be in Colorado for the first daughter's birth (1903/4) I have no clue. You can find one hit for him in Bedford, Taylor County, Iowa in 1900. He's 20, the Luthera Scovil person there with him is his aunt. His father F.W. (Fernando) Agard had just died in March of that year; his mother had been dead for almost all of his life, and his stepmother (the widow) is Mary (nee Young) Agard of Oskaloosa, she seemingly having returned to her home town immediately upon Fernando's death. To add to the confusion, Harry's first wife was also named Mary but I have no maiden name and only one hit on her, in 1870.
